Germany hosted the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament, marking its first major football event since the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Matches were held across ten German cities, offering fans a diverse and exciting experience. Berlin, the German capital, boasts historical landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate and the TV Tower. The Olympiastadion Berlin, with a capacity of 71,000, served as the venue for the final and hosted several other crucial matches, including a quarter-final and a round of 16 game.

Cologne, situated on the Rhine River, features the Cologne Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Cologne Stadium, with a capacity of 43,000, was the stage for several group stage matches and a round of 16 encounter.

Dortmund, known for its industrial heritage and vibrant cultural scene, is home to the BVB Stadion Dortmund, famous for its “Yellow Wall.” This 62,000-capacity stadium hosted group stage matches, a round of 16 game, and a semi-final.

Munich, a city renowned for its history, art, and beer gardens, features the Allianz Arena, a 66,000-capacity stadium that hosted the opening match, group stage games, a round of 16 fixture, and a semi-final.

The remaining host cities – Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, and Stuttgart – each contributed their unique character and world-class stadiums to the success of Euro 2024. These venues provided exciting backdrops for the tournament’s thrilling matches and showcased Germany’s passion for football.
