Micro Stuttering Issues in Euro Truck Sim 2 Since 1.50 Update

Since the 1.50 update for Euro Truck Sim 2, I’ve been experiencing consistent micro stuttering, making gameplay frustrating. My system comprises a Windows 10 operating system, an RTX 2070 graphics card, a Ryzen 7 3700x processor, and 32GB of RAM. Storage space is ample, and the issue persists regardless of usage.

The micro stutters occur both with and without mods enabled, with and without Reshade, with and without the Nvidia overlay, and with and without Medal recording software. Adjusting graphics settings, even to low, doesn’t alleviate the problem. Toggling Vsync on and off yields no improvement; disabling it only increases the stuttering frequency.

I’ve tried troubleshooting by driving while monitoring the game log, but nothing unusual appears when the stuttering happens. This issue seems isolated to the 1.50 update, as I haven’t encountered it previously. The stuttering manifests as brief, noticeable pauses or jumps in the gameplay, almost as if the truck or camera teleports momentarily.

Even with a completely new profile, devoid of any mods, the micro stuttering persists. This indicates the issue likely stems from the core game files rather than external modifications. The problem significantly impacts the overall driving experience in Euro Truck Sim 2, detracting from the immersion and enjoyment of the game.

The stuttering is readily apparent in various scenarios, impacting both vanilla gameplay and modded experiences. Whether navigating a complex highway system with a custom-built truck and trailer or cruising on a simple road in a default truck, the issue remains.

The frequency and severity of the stutters vary but are consistently present, making it difficult to enjoy extended play sessions. The seemingly random nature of the stutters further complicates diagnosis, as there’s no clear trigger or pattern to identify.
