The draw for the Euro 2024 finals, where Turkey was placed in Pot 2 after topping their group, is set to take place on Saturday, December 2nd in Hamburg, Germany. The composition of the draw pots has been finalized, setting the stage for an exciting tournament.

The teams are distributed across four pots based on their Euro 2024 qualifying performance. Pot 1 features the top-seeded nations, including the host nation and leading qualifiers.

Euro 2024 Draw Pots:

  • Pot 1: Germany (Hosts), Portugal, France, Spain, England, Belgium
  • Pot 2: Turkey, Hungary, Denmark, Albania, Romania, Austria
  • Pot 3: Netherlands, Scotland, Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, Czech Republic
  • Pot 4: Italy, Serbia, Switzerland, and the 3 play-off winners

Three additional teams will secure their place in Euro 2024 through the play-off tournaments. These play-offs involve twelve nations vying for the final spots in the championship.

Euro 2024 Play-off Teams:

The play-off stage includes teams from across different UEFA leagues, offering a second chance for qualification. The teams competing in the play-offs are: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Poland, Ukraine, and Wales. Three of these nations will emerge victorious in March, claiming their tickets to the Euro 2024 finals.

The play-off paths are structured into three brackets: Path A, Path B, and Path C. Notably, Poland and Wales are the only teams from League A of the Nations League to enter Play-off Path A. To complete the four-team bracket for Path A, Estonia, the highest-ranked team from League D, was added.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with Israel, secured their positions in Play-off Path B by winning their UEFA Nations League groups.

One team from the League B Nations League group – either Finland, Iceland, or Ukraine – will be determined by a draw to finalize Path A. The remaining two will compete in Path B.

Euro 2024 Play-off Matchups:

The play-off semi-final pairings are as follows:

  • Path A: Poland vs Estonia, Wales vs Finland/Iceland/Ukraine
  • Path B: Bosnia and Herzegovina vs TBD, Israel vs TBD (The TBDs are combinations of Finland/Iceland/Ukraine, depending on the Path A draw completion)

The play-off semi-finals are scheduled for March 21, 2024, followed by the finals on March 26, 2024. All play-off ties will be single-leg matches, adding to the high stakes and drama.

The Euro 2024 Finals tournament itself will be held from June 14th to July 14th, 2024. Football fans across Europe and the world eagerly await the draw to see the groups take shape and anticipate the thrilling matches to come in Germany.
