Euro to KES: Monthly Exchange Rates from the European Commission

The European Commission publishes official monthly accounting rates for the euro and other currencies. These rates, established by the Accounting Officer, are used to calculate reimbursements for expenses, travel, and subsistence costs for external participants in Commission-related activities. This data allows for consistent financial management across EU operations.

The Commission’s currency converter offers monthly exchange rates dating back to 1994. This historical data provides valuable insights into the euro’s fluctuation against other currencies, including the Kenyan Shilling (KES). Rates are based on market values from the second to last day of the preceding month, sourced from the European Central Bank or other reliable institutions.

InforEuro expands upon this by providing rates for current and former currencies, both within and outside the EU. Each currency’s historical conversion rate against the euro (or the ecu before December 1998) is available in downloadable files from March 1994 onward. This comprehensive data is a resource for understanding long-term currency trends.

Important Note: The Euro To Kes exchange rate information provided here is solely for informational purposes related to the EU budget. The European Commission does not guarantee the accuracy of these rates and assumes no responsibility for their use. This publication does not confer any rights, and general inquiries about these rates will not be addressed.
