Euro Copa 2024: San Jose Hosts Summer of Soccer Viewing Parties

San Jose is set to become a hub for international soccer this summer, hosting viewing parties for every match of both the Copa América and UEFA Euro 2024 tournaments. The city’s vibrant soccer scene, with both the San Jose Earthquakes and Bay FC, combined with the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup in the South Bay, makes it the perfect location for fans to gather and celebrate the beautiful game.

Copa América runs from June 20th to July 14th, while Euro 2024 kicks off on June 14th and culminates with the final on July 14th. All matches starting at 9 a.m. PT or later will be broadcast at viewing parties hosted by The Old Wagon Saloon & Grill and O’Flaherty’s Irish Pub, both conveniently located on the pedestrian-friendly N. San Pedro Street. A full schedule of viewing parties is available online.

San Pedro Square, easily accessible by public transportation via the VTA Santa Clara light rail station, will be the site of enhanced viewing experiences for select marquee matches. A large outdoor screen and speakers will be set up for these special events. The area also boasts convenient parking with five nearby downtown garages offering 90 minutes of free parking. Real-time parking availability updates can be found on parksj.org.

In addition to the festivities at San Pedro Square, the Mexican Heritage Plaza will host a large-screen outdoor viewing party for the Mexico vs. Venezuela match on June 26th. And for the ultimate fan experience, PayPal Park, home of the San Jose Earthquakes, will host both tournament finals on July 14th.

Key matches scheduled for viewing parties at San Pedro Square include Argentina vs. Canada on June 20th, USA vs. Bolivia and Uruguay vs. Panama on June 23rd, and Brazil vs. Colombia on July 2nd (the latter will actually be played at Levi’s Stadium). Semifinal matches on July 9th or 10th will also be featured. The Mexican Heritage Plaza will host the Mexico vs. Venezuela match on June 26th. Finally, PayPal Park will be the venue for both the Euro 2024 and Copa América finals on July 14th. Fans are encouraged to RSVP for these exciting events.
