Euro 2024 Matches: A Comprehensive Guide to the Tournament
The heart of football will beat intensely for 31 days, until July 14th, in a tournament hosted across 10 cities in Germany, featuring 24 national teams. A total of 51 matches are scheduled for this prestigious event, kicking off tonight with the opening match between host nation Germany and Scotland at the Munich Football Arena. The match is set to begin at 22:00 CET and will be broadcast live on various channels globally.
Sixteen Teams to Emerge from Groups
In the European Championship format, 24 teams are divided into 6 groups, each containing four teams. The top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the round of 16. The group stage matches will conclude on Wednesday, June 26th.
The knockout stage, starting from the round of 16, will commence on June 29th. From this point forward, the tournament will adopt a single-elimination format. The quarter-final matches are scheduled for July 5th and 6th, while the semi-final clashes will take place on July 9th and 10th. The champion of EURO 2024 will be determined at the final match on Sunday, July 14th, at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
Turkey in Group F
The Turkish National Football Team will compete in Group F against Portugal, Georgia, and Czech Republic. Turkey’s first match in the championship will be against Georgia on Tuesday, June 18th, in Dortmund.
The Crescent-Stars will play their second group match against Portugal on Saturday, June 22nd, also in Dortmund, and their third match against Czech Republic on Wednesday, June 26th, in Hamburg.
