Club Euro in Fort Lauderdale: Teenager Shot Near Venue After All-Ages Event

A 14-year-old teenager was shot near Club Euro In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shortly after an all-ages event ended at the venue. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on a Thursday near Southwest Second Street and Nugent Avenue, marking the third shooting in Broward County within a 24-hour period. Fort Lauderdale Police were already in the area due to the event at Club Euro. A witness, Jared Peter, reported hearing a single gunshot and seeing a young man, initially believed to be Portuguese, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was attending an event outside on the street when an unknown assailant opened fire. Witnesses described a chaotic scene with people running in panic after the shooting. The teenager ran to a nearby corner for safety.

Club Euro, a popular nightclub in Fort Lauderdale, had hosted an all-ages event that concluded approximately 30 minutes before the shooting. The club had hired ten security guards and police detail for the event due to high anticipated attendance. The event organizer, Spoday, expressed sadness over the incident and emphasized that the safety of attendees is a top priority, despite the inability to control events occurring outside the venue. Paramedics transported the victim to Broward Health Medical Center. Fortunately, the injuries were not life-threatening, and the teenager is expected to make a full recovery.

As of Thursday evening, no arrests have been made, and the shooter remains at large. Fort Lauderdale Police detectives are actively investigating the shooting, combing the area for clues and urging anyone with information to come forward.
