1000 Euro in Dollars US
Bank of America customers with checking or savings accounts can order up to $10,000 USD in foreign currency online within a 30-day period. This limit applies whether the purchase is made in a single transaction or multiple transactions. For orders up to $1,000 USD in foreign currency, delivery to your account address is available. However, orders exceeding $1,000 USD must be picked up at a Bank of America financial center. For orders exceeding $10,000 USD, a visit to a financial center is required.
There is no fee for ordering foreign currency online. Bank of America’s compensation comes from the difference (spread) between the buying and selling price of the foreign currency banknotes. However, a $7.50 USD delivery fee applies to orders under $1,000 USD. This fee is waived for orders of $1,000 USD or more. Online foreign currency orders can only be paid for using a Bank of America checking or savings account. Relationship clients can place orders using cash at a financial center, with payment required at the time of order placement.
Foreign currency transactions are rounded up to the nearest available paper denomination. For instance, when purchasing euros, the calculation will be rounded up to the nearest multiple of 5 euros, as that is the smallest euro paper denomination. Bank of America does not handle foreign coins. The minimum total order amount is $100 USD. When ordering multiple currencies, the minimum amount per currency is $25 USD. Customers can choose to receive their order in small, large, or mixed denominations, subject to availability.
Bank of America prioritizes online security and implements measures to ensure safe transactions. Only Bank of America customers with a checking or savings account can use the online foreign currency ordering service. Account holders can exchange foreign currency banknotes (excluding coins) for US dollars at a full-service financial center. A foreign currency calculator is available to determine the US dollar equivalent of your foreign currency.
For orders of $1,000 USD or more, new customers (less than 30 days), or customers with address changes within the last 30 days, pickup at a financial center is mandatory. Orders placed before 2 p.m. (local delivery address time) on weekdays are shipped the same day; otherwise, they ship the next business day. Standard delivery takes 1-3 business days, while next-day delivery is available for orders placed before 2 p.m. local time. No shipments are processed on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. Bank of America does not ship to P.O. Boxes. The online service allows for ordering up to $10,000 USD equivalent of foreign currency, such as converting 1000 Euro to Dollars US, within a 30-day window.
