Euro Tuning: Unleashing the Potential of European Cars in Forza

European cars have a rich history of tuning, with enthusiasts pushing the boundaries of performance and style for decades. While Forza offers a selection of tunable European vehicles, the tuning potential for some models feels limited compared to their real-world counterparts. This disparity is particularly noticeable when comparing the tuning capabilities of European cars to their Asian rivals in the game. For example, the BMW E46 M3 and various Lamborghini models can achieve impressive power outputs with upgrades. However, other German cars, equipped with engines like the B58 found in the BMW Z4 and Toyota Supra MK5, seem to plateau at around 800hp, even with maximum upgrades. In reality, B58 engines are capable of exceeding 1000hp with the right modifications. This begs the question: if the 2JZ engine in the game can reach 1600hp when fully tuned, shouldn’t the B58 be capable of similar power levels? This same logic applies to the S55 and S58 platforms found in BMW M4 models.

The VR6 engine, another staple in the European tuning scene, faces a similar limitation in Forza. In the game, VR6 engines max out around 600hp, while real-world tuners regularly achieve well over 1000hp. The VR6 is often celebrated as a prime candidate for European tuning, yet its potential remains untapped in the virtual world. Even the iconic N54 engine in the BMW 1M Coupe suffers from this issue, only reaching a maximum output of 630hp in the game. Even the recently added Audi RS6, boasting 550hp in stock form, only reaches 800hp when fully upgraded, a figure that falls short of its real-world potential.

One potential solution to address this discrepancy could involve introducing larger turbocharger options for specific engines within the game. This addition would allow players to unlock higher horsepower figures and more accurately reflect the tuning potential of these European powerplants. Moreover, the current selection of European tuner cars in Forza lacks several iconic models that have significantly impacted the tuning community. Notable omissions include the Volkswagen Golf, Bora, and Passat equipped with the legendary 1.9 TDI engine, the BMW E90 335i, the newer BMW M340i, Saab models powered by the B234 engine, Volvo 740s, Abarth models, and Alfa Romeos. Including these vehicles would broaden the range of Euro Tuning options and enrich the overall gameplay experience for enthusiasts.
